We are very pleased that we were able to win the Eckhard Busch Foundation as an additional supporter of our Pop-up Institute for 2022. The foundation supports our current science communication project on schizophrenia, which is funded by the Volkswagen Foundation.

our project

In the first project of the Pop-up Institute we want to reduce the social stigma associated with schizophrenia and counteract it with empathy and knowledge. We are doing this together with eight collaborators who bring different expertise in the arts, Creative Arts Therapies and/or schizophrenia experience. Since June 2021 we have been working collaboratively and developing artistic formats and forms of mediation. These can be experienced in the summer of 2022 in an art festival for young people in Berlin.

The Eckhard Busch Foundation promotes and organizes projects and services related to mental health. Its work is based on three main pillars: It promotes projects and offers that provide direct support to those affected and their relatives. Furthermore, the Eckhard Busch Foundation supports initiatives both ideally and materially and organizes its own projects with the aim of improving the acceptance of people with mental illnesses in our society. It also supports projects to promote science and research in the field of mental illness and its causes or treatment options.
