You like to draw or paint, but haven’t studied it? You don’t actually paint, but would like to try it out? You don’t like painting, but you want to support research? Then participate and send me a picture you created!
I am currently working on another study for my PhD to validate my Rating instrument for two-dimensional visual work (RizbA). Hence I need 130 pictures that were created by 130 amateurs. In the current situation, these are difficult to collect, especially because I cannot invite anyone to my studio. Therefore I ask for your support.
Anyone who is at least 18 years old and has NO professional artistic education in the visual arts (degree or vocational training in visual art or a related subject) can participate.
As a thank you, I am raffling two Avocadostore vouchers, each worth 20 euros, among all participants.
- Create a picture
The picture should be two-dimensional. It can be a drawing, a sketch, a painting, a collage or a mixture of these. You can decide which material you use and the size of the picture. You are also welcome to take a picture that you have already created. This is not a painting competition. It is not about creating a particularly “beautiful” picture, but simply about creating a picture.
- Make a photo of your picture
Use a smartphone or a digital camera for this. Below you find some tips for taking a good picture.
- Upload the photo of your picture
Upload the photo by using the upload form (see bottom of this page).
tips for taking photos

- photographed straight and from above
- high sharpness

- including the entire picture
- the picture should fill in the photo as much as possible (if the picture format does not correspond to the photo format, leave surrounding edges around the picture)
The photo should not look like this, otherwise it cannot be used:
You can upload your picture here including some basic information about the picture and yourself. Please upload only one picture.
